A mindfully oriented therapy that uses a humanistic approach to help people accept and move on from negative experiences and emotions. ACT helps people to learn to accept what is out of their control, and commit to moving forward with actions that match their values set

Helps promote emotional healing by encouraging people to be compassionate toward themselves and other people, alleviating self-criticism and hostility

Similar to CBT but adapted for people who feel emotions very intensely. The aim of DBT is to help understand and accept  difficult feelings, and be able to regulate emotions in a healthy way

Helps awareness of the present moment; in our thoughts,  bodies, or surroundings. Helps to observe thoughts and feelings rather than getting caught up in them and improves mental state
